Kshana means
“the moment”
In Sanskrit and Kannada, kshana means a single moment: the instant a bride sees her family before the ceremony, the first time a baby laughs at the camera, the morning light across a finished home. Those moments last a second, and they are the ones people spend the rest of their lives wanting back.
Kshana Creative Studio is a premium photography and film studio in Shivamogga, Karnataka, built around that idea. We photograph and film weddings, pre-wedding shoots, families, babies, homes and businesses, and we treat every one of them as the only moment that matters.

The story:
Kshana began with a simple question: why should a family in Shivamogga have to choose between a trusted local photographer and the craft of an Industry standard level craft?
Our founder, Sathvik Patil, is a cinematographer who studied B.Design Film & Television Production and then MSc Advertising & Marketing Communications at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom. The work has travelled well beyond one screen. He has been part of production house that has earned nine international film festival laurels. He has worked on projects for Google, Meta, Times Music, PlayDMF and Coke Studio Bharat, OpenAI.
Some of his most demanding work has been live. For years he has documented concerts and artists, shooting photographs and film in the middle of the loudest, fastest and least repeatable moments there are. He works as cinematographer and photographer for Jubin Nautiyal, including on tour, and has documented Karan Aujla’s P-Pop India Tour, a relationship that goes back to 2019. His concert and artist work also spans Jasleen Royal, Seedhe Maut, Papon, Lollapalooza India and the Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong. That experience is why a wedding, a sangeet or a baraat does not rattle us. We have worked in crowds, in low light and with no second takes, and we know how to stay close to the moment without disturbing it.
Beyond the camera, he leads teams at N.A.I Productions, a Mumbai production house, and holds a UK CAA A2 Certificate of Competency for flying drones. He also builds AI-assisted visualisations for architects and builders. Each skill shapes the others: a photographer who understands marketing knows what your images need to do, and a filmmaker who flies drones can show a property or a venue from angles most studios cannot.
Kshana is the result: a studio that brings that training, discipline and eye for story to the families, couples and businesses of Shivamogga and the surrounding districts of Malnad.
